Three guerrillas killed in Kashmir

Srinagar, March 20 (IANS) Three separatist guerrillas were killed Friday when army troops surrounded a forest in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara area.
The operation began early Friday in Rangwar forest area near Chowkibal in Kupwara district, about 120 km from here.
'During the searches, militants fired at the surrounding troops. The fire was returned and in the gunfight three terrorists have so far been killed,' spokesperson of the army's 15 Corps Lt. Col. J.S. Brar told IANS.
The operation was launched following specific information that guerrillas were hiding in the forest, police said.
