Cuba, EU to boost cooperation, political dialogue
Havana, March 20 (Prensa Latina) Cuba and the European Union (EU) have decided to boost cooperation in health, education and scientific research.
Businessmen from Cuba and EU countries participated in a meeting held here Thursday to discuss the issues.
The meeting was organised by Cuba's foreign trade and investment ministry.
EU Commissioner for Development and Humanitarian Help Louis Michel is heading the European delegation at the meeting.
The European leaders were optimistic about strengthening political dialogue and close business ties with Cuba.
The EU commissioner has called for a multilateral cooperation with Cuba.
Cuba's Vice President Ricardo Cabrisas said the government would cooperate with the European delegation to explore various investment projects.
