Tamil Nadu minister injured in road accident

Madurai (Tamil Nadu), March 19 (IANS) Tamil Nadu's Revenue and Housing Minister I. Periyasamy was injured Thursday when a bus collided with the car he was travelling in. The minister suffered minor head injuries in the accident, the police said.
According to the police, a Tirupur bound government-owned bus and the minister's vehicle collided head-on in Vadippatti, 30 km from here.
The minister was treated at a private hospital and the driver of the bus was arrested for rash and negligent driving, an official said.
The bus driver was later released on bail, he added.
