New Delhi, July 20 (ANI): The Janata Dal (Secular) will oppose the trust vote sought by the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government in Lok Sabha on July 22 over the Indo-US civil nuclear deal.

The JD(S) chief and former Prime Minister H. D. Deve Gowda announced here today his party's decision after meeting Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati.

Gowda said that a meeting would be held on July 23 with Mayawati along with the Left and United National Progressive Alliance (UNPA) leaders to discuss the fallout of the trust vote.

He further said, "All issues facing the country, including price rise and unemployment, will be discussed when we meet again on July 23."

Earlier, leaders of UNPA, Left parties and BSP had met to discuss their common strategy with regard to the confidence motion and other related issues.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had on Friday called up Deve Gowda to seek his party's support during the trust vote on July 22.
