Decision on the IPL dates after feedack from State Govts: Chidambaram
New Delhi, Mar 17 (ANI): Union Home Minster P Chidambaram said on Wednesday that a revised Indian Premier League schedule has been sent to the states, and a decision will be taken soon after the Ministry receives feedback from the concerned state governments.
Talking to the reporters in New Delhi, Chidambaram said, "The last I heard was yesterday morning they submitted a revised schedule. The revised schedule has been sent to all the state governments concerned. We've asked them to give their comments and views as early as possible."
"Once all the state governments concern give their comments and views, especially with regard to security, then we will take a view," he added.
Organisers of the Indian Premier League (IPL) held a series of meetings on Monday and submitted a re-revised tournament schedule to the Union Home Ministry on Tuesday.
The schedule has been revised for the third time after the Home Ministry advised IPL organisers that it may not be possible to hold the Twenty20 series as per its previous revised schedule.
The new schedule has considered the reservations and security constraints of the states holding the matches. (ANI)
