National, Tue, 17 Mar 2009 IANS

New Delhi, March 17 (IANS) A city court Tuesday allowed suspected media cell members of the Indian Mujahideen to be taken to Maharashtra after Delhi Police said they have completed investigations regarding the terror e-mails sent to the media before the serial bombings in the country last year.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kaveri Baweja asked the police to make necessary arrangements to send Mansoor Ashgar Peerbhoy, Mobin Kader Sheikh and Asif Bashir Sheikh to Maharashtra by March 24.

All the three are members of the terror outfit's media cell and are accused of sending threatening e-mails to media organisations prior to the July 26 Ahmedabad and Sep 13 Delhi serial blasts from unsecured wireless Internet connections in Navi Mumbai and Mumbai.

Another e-mail was sent from a wireless Internet connection in a college in central Mumbai. The Sep 13 bombings left 26 people dead in the capital while around 55 people were killed in the Ahmedabad bombings.

The court's order came on a plea of M.S. Khan, counsel for Mobin, stating the accused has to appear in his Bachelor of Science examinations from Pune University beginning from March 25.

Mobin, who worked as a senior technical adviser in an IT firm, was arrested along with Peerbhoy and Asif.

Peerbhoy, a computer engineer, worked with a multinational software company in Pune and earned an annual salary of Rs.1.9 million.
