Chilean President to meet Manmohan Singh today
New Delhi, Mar 17 (ANI): The President of Chile, Dr. Michelle Bachelet, will meet Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh here today to further strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries.
A number of agreements are expected to be signed during the meeting.
During her visit, Bachelet is also scheduled to meet President Pratibha Patil, Vice-President Dr. Mohammed Hamid Ansari, External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, United Progressive Alliance Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and the Leader of Opposition L.K. Advani.
Bachelet arrived here on a five-day official visit on Monday. She is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including the Minister of Agriculture and Women Empowerment and a business delegation.
During her stay, Bachelet will also visit Agra, Mumbai, and Chennai.
The last state visit was undertaken by President Ricardo Lagos of Chile in January 2005. (ANI)
