Mumbai, March 9 (IANS) Adnan Sami's 14-year-old son Azaan, who wished to call on his terminally-ill grandfather for long, finally paid him a surprise visit here Monday.

The Pakistani singer was overjoyed with the visit of his Karachi-based son.

'I've been waiting for Azaan to show up and this time not for me but my father. Azaan had school and passport problems. He finally arrived here in Mumbai on Monday around noon,' an emotional Adnan said.

Adnan, who did not inform about Azaan's arrival to his ailing father, said: 'I wanted it to be a surprise for my father.'

And sure enough, Azaan's arrival brought a special glint into the old man's eyes.

'It took all of my acting powers to withhold information from my dad about Azaan's arrival. But I'm glad I did. The happiness that I saw in my father's eyes was worth the wait. For now I've been sidelined. It's my father and son, the 'dada-pota' pair, that's taken over my home.'
