Vodafone unveils a formula one car in Chennai
Chennai, July 17 (ANI): Vodafone unveiled a formula one car in Chennai in a bid to promote the sports car among the youth on Thursday.
A large number of people were present on the occasion to witness the single-seater car being showcased.
"The reasons for us doing this are basically that Vodafone is a new brand in the country. But, Vodafone has had a long association with formula one and it is one of the most important properties with which Vodafone is associated internationally. The third thing is that in India, formula one is gaining popularity very rapidly. It is also very popular among the youth. We believe that all these are very powerful reasons for us to bring our association with McLaren Mercedes and showcase our relationship with them and to showcase something which is normally not accessible to people," said Kumar Ramanathan, Operation Director, Vodafone, Chennai.
The car is scheduled to be showcased in Kolkata and Mumbai in near future. (ANI)
