Washington, Mar.6 (ANI): Grammy award winner singer Gloria Estefan has claimed that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) offered her the job of a secret agent.
Cuban Estefan said her ability to communicate in different languages led the intelligence agency to offer her the job.
"They realised I was someone who could pass off as a regular person without raising any eyebrows. So, the CIA approached me and wanted me to train in their Atlanta HQ," The Telegraph quoted Estefan, as saying.
Estefan, 52 speaks fluently in English, Spanish and French.
She, however, turned downed the offer as her father, Jose Fajardo, once worked as a bodyguard to Cuban President Fulgencio Batista.
Estefan, who has number of chartbusters to her name, said her mother asked her to decline the CIA offer.
She said the offer was quite attractive in terms of money, but the family decided against it. (ANI)
