Hepatitis B death toll in Gujarat rises to 60
Sabarkantha (Gujarat), Mar 2 (ANI): The Hepatitis B death toll in Gujarat has risen to 60, with four more deaths reported on Monday.
A Sabarkantha District health official said: "Four people have lost their lives on Monday, taking the number of deaths due to hepatitis infection to 60."
There have been several new cases reported, taking the total number of cases registered to over 184, off which 60 have died.
Most of the diseased have been reported from Sabarkantha District.
Meanwhile, the State Government has decided to intensify the vaccination drive in the state.
Some of the infected are undergoing treatment in various hospitals in different districts.
The State Health Department is working round the clock to control the outbreak of Hepatitis B and Hepatitis D. (ANI)
