Curfew clamps in Sopore town

Baramula, Feb 22 (ANI): Curfew has been clamped in the Sopore town here on Sunday after a massive protests against the killing of two Muslim youth.

 

"Curfew has been clamped in the town after some casualties. All roads to Baramulla and Kupwara have been closed. Some locals are allowed to move around but no cars are allowed to pass. Curfew is there in the entire town," said Fayaz Ahmad, a local.

 

Meanwhile, the authorities have ordered a probe into the firing.

 

Police and paramilitary soldiers sealed off adjacent areas and Sopore town to prevent more protests. (ANI)
