Goody, ex-lover battling over kids

London, Sun, 22 Feb 2009 ANI

London, Feb 22 (ANI): Cancer-stricken Jade Goody's last days are being ruined by a row over her beloved sons.

The former Big brother star wants Jack Tweed, whom she's going to marry today, to look after her sons Bobby, five, and Freddie, four - because they have grown close to him.

However, the boys' real dad, TV presenter Jeff Brazier believes that Tweed, currently on prison parole after attacking a man with a golf club, is not the kind of person he wants his kids to look up to.

Brazier is refusing to allow Tweed any formal access rights.

Goody's friends fear that the reality TV star will soon be too weak to negotiate with her ex.

However, Goody has said that she will use lawyers if necessary to try to get Brazier to agree to a deal.

"This is a very sensitive situation and he is finding what's going on difficult to deal with," News of the World quoted a friend, as saying.

"He loved Jade for a period and obviously is devastated about what she's going through-but some tough decisions need to be made.

"Jeff disagrees with Jade, and doesn't think Jack is the sort of role model who should be in his boys' life going forward.

"It might be unfair but he views Jack as immature and irresponsible, and doesn't trust him enough to be a good dad to his two young children," the friend added.

Goody has already accepted that Brazier will get full custody of the boys.

However, the terminally ill celebrity is desperate for Tweed and her mum Jackiey to continue being involved in their upbringing.

And Goody's PR advisor Max Clifford made her wishes clear-in words that are set to infuriate her ex.

"Jeff obviously is the boys' natural father. It will be a combination of Jeff, Jade's mum, Jack and Jade's grandparents," Clifford said. (ANI)
