Johannesburg, Feb 21 (ANI): International Cricket Council (ICC) On Saturday said that it would meet representatives of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Indian Cricket League (ICL) on February 23 to broker peace between the Indian board and Zee Group owned cricket body.

ICL has been unrecognized by all cricket boards. It has affected the careers of 150 cricketers around the world.

ICC president David Morgan believed to give a serious push for a settlement between the two cricket bodies.

"I have long regarded it as a priority to bring together the BCCI and the owners of the ICL. I am pleased to say we have fixed a meeting to take place in Johannesburg on Monday," Morgan said.

He hoped that the meeting would be successful with a mutually acceptable conclusion.

"I can not be certain that the case would be solved, but I hope we could at least make a start in bringing about a settlement," he said.

The ICL issue was also hotly discussed during Apex cricketing body's meeting last month. (ANI)
