England camp worried over Flintoff's hip injury
Antigua (West Indies), Feb.20 (ANI): The third Test between England and West Indies may have ended in a draw, but there is concern in the England camp about all-rounder Andrew Flintoff's hip injury.
Flintoff sank to his knees after England were denied victory by a wicket in a dramatic finale to the Third Test.he draw felt like a defeat and England's misery was increased by the fact that Flintoff continued to struggle with a hip injury and may miss the rest of the tour.
The West Indies retained their 1-0 series lead as last pair Daren Powell and Fidel Edwards survived 10 overs and 35 minutes in fading light to keep the tourists at bay.
Although Freddie let rip with a ferocious spell after tea on Thursday, he will have a scan on his right hip when the team arrive in Barbados today. His injury also threatens his 1.08 million pound IPL deal with Chennai Super Kings.
"It was incredible to see him bowling at that pace with that injury. The doctor said if he bowled ithin himself he'd be OK.
I don't think he was operating within himself, he felt he could put a bit more into it," The Sun quoted Strauss, as saying.(ANI)
