New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): Foreign and Indian models displayed their walking skills here as they auditioned for the popular Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2009,
The audition saw wide participation from foreign models trying to carve a niche for themselves.
"India is putting itself in the map in terms of global fashion. I think that's why international models are coming here," said Maya, a model from the United States.
The Indian models said the participation of foreign models makes it tough for them though they are prepared to give them a fight.
"I think if they are good, they will make it. If the international models are better then they deserve to be where they are," said Naveena, an Indian model
The participants were judged on the basis of their body language, their expressions and, of course, their walk.
"We are looking for those who have presence of mind and can leave a lasting impression. People can remember them after their walk and has a fit body," said Rahul Khanna, an Indian designer who was among the judges.
