Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt starts campaigning in Lucknow

Lucknow, Feb 18 (ANI): Bollywood actor and the Samajwadi Party's expected candidate from Lucknow, Sanjay Dutt, accompanied with wife Manyata and Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh, started his poll campaign here on Wednesday.

Dutt went to meet Captain Rizvi's family staying in the Jopling Road locality with whom his late actor father Sunil Dutt used to stay when he worked as an anchor with the All India Radio (AIR).

However, owing to the heavy rush in the tight lane where the home was situated, Sanjay was unable to enter the residence.

People were pleased with the actor's visit, and showered Dutt and his wife with rose petals.

"I am quite happy to visit the family with whom my father cherished some memorable moments," Sanjay told reporters.

After meeting the family, Dutt, his wife and Amar Singh went to the Samajwadi Party office on Vikramaditya Marg where he is likely to discuss poll strategy. (ANI)
