'Slumdog Millionaire' bags prestigious Writers Guild Award.

London, Feb 9 (ANI): Oscar frontrunner 'Slumdog Millionaire' has added another gong in its kitty at the Writers Guild Awards, with Simon Beaufoy winning the award for best-adapted screenplay for the critically acclaimed film.

 

Sean Penn-starrer 'Milk' won the award for best original screenplay for Dustin Lance Black, reports the Daily Star.

 

Meanwhile, the film of an 18-year-old slum boy from rags-to-riches has won seven BAFTAs awards, including the Best film and Best Director for Danny Boyle.

 

AR Rahman walked away with the Best Music gong at the BAFTAs

 

Slumdog Millionaire has been nominated in 10 Oscar categories. (ANI)
