Sri Lanka set India 321 to chase in fifth ODI
Colombo, Feb.8 (ANI): Riding on the blistering knocks of Tilakaratna Dilshan and Kumara Sangakkara Sri Lanka posted a mammoth 320 for the loss of eight wickets in the fifth and final one-day here.
With captain Mahela Jayawardene opting to bat first after winning the toss, Sanath Jayasurya started the initial onslaught on the Indian bowlers and never allowed them to settle into their rhythm.
Jayasurya made 37, which included seven boundaries.He was caught by Suresh Raina of the bowling of Irfan Pathan.
After Jayasurya's dismissal a brilliant partnership between Tilakaratna Dilshan (97) and Kumara Sangakkara (84) ensured a 300 plus score for Sri Lanka.
India used nine bowlers in the innings, and once again Ishant Sharma was the one who excelled and captured three wickets. Part-time spinner Yuvraj Singh captured two wickets, including the important one of Sangakkara. (ANI)
