London, February 8 (ANI): British pop star Lily Allen has finally clinched success in lining up a string of appearances on America's A-list chat shows.
She is presently gearing up for a month-long interview tour, starting with The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in New York and ending with Oprah Winfrey in Chicago.
She is also scheduled to appear on The Today Show with Carson Daly and Ellen DeGeneres.
She is said to have turned slimmer and sexier than ever, while courting American TV chat shows.
According to reports, slots on the hit shows will help her gain a lot of publicity.
The 23-year-old has already shot front covers for US magazines Spin, Paper, Billboard and Nylon, as well as for the New York Times.
Allen also tried to break America about two years ago, but was not allowed in following her arrest for assaulting a photographer, though she was not charged.
She has finally been cleared for a work visa.
Even though Allen has already earned millions, it is said that making it big in America would send her earnings into orbit.
"Lily knows this is her big chance to become a household name in the States. She's seen other British acts storm the US over the last year and knows she can be just as popular. She's already known in the gossip columns over there but these appearances on chat shows will raise her profile by miles," the Mirror quoted a source close to the singer, who is promoting second album It's Not Me, It's You, as saying.
Lily will spend a month touring US hotspots, before her return to the UK for a spring tour, starting March 14 at the Birmingham Academy. (ANI)
