India to sign MoU with Norway on local Governance

New Delhi, Feb. 5 (ANI): A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is to be signed between the Government of India, Ministry of Panchayati Raj and the Kingdom of Norway, Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development for the mutual cooperation on local Governance.

 

The objective of the MoU is to encourage skill transfer between India and Norway for strengthening Local Self Governance.

 

Both the nations are planning to form a Joint Forum at the ministerial level and a Joint Working Group (JWG) at the official level.

 

The MoU held significance, as it will strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the area of Local Governance and also on the role of women in politics. (ANI)
