PM Singh discharged from hospital
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has been discharged from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences this morning after undergoing a successful heart bypass surgery on January 24.
He left for his home at about 7.45 am, accompanied by his wife Smt. Gursharan Kaur. Dr Singh was seen off by doctors who performed Redo Heart Surgery on him and those who attended to him post surgery at AIIMS.

However, Dr. Singh will remain under continuous medical care as he may take another three-four weeks to get back to his working schedule. He has been advised to continue to increase his diet and step up his physical activities.
Before leaving for home, the prime minister expressed deep appreciation and gratitude for the warm wishes he has received from people across the country for his speedy recovery, and also thanked the doctors for the excellent care he had received during his stay at the hospital.
