Zsa Zsa Gabor joins Bernie Madoff's investment fraud victims list
New York, Jan 26 (ANI): Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor has joined the list of celebrities, including Steven Spielberg, Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, who have lost money to accused financial swindler Bernie Madoff.
The 91-year-old Gabor, who suffered a stroke in 2005, lost at least 7 million dollars through investments made with the accused financial swindler, her lawyer Chris Fields has said.
Fields said that Gabor did not take the news of the loss well. He said it is possible she lost as much as 10 million dollars, reports the New York Daily News.
The lawyer said that the Hungarian-born actress, famed for multiple short-lived marriages to rich men and her signature greeting "darling," recently discovered the loss.
Madoff, 70, is accused of running a worldwide fraud that authorities say may have cost investors 50 billion dollars.
