Student killed at Sahibabad college
Ghaziabad, Jan 24 (IANS) A teenager was killed after two groups of students fired at each other in a college at Sahibabad Saturday, a police officer said.
The incident took place around 12.30 p.m. at the Lala Lajpat Rai Post Graduate College.
Abhishek, 19, a student of K.N. Inter College, Loni, visited the Lala Lajpat Rai College with a group of students to enquire about its academic programmes.
'In the meantime, five students led by Kuldeep clashed with Abhishek's group. About six shots were fired in which Abhishek sustained a gunshot injury in his head through his left eye,' circle officer of Ghaziabad police S.P. Singh said.
He said Abhishek was then rushed to Narendra Mohan Hospital, from where he was referred to the Fortis Hospital at Noida.
'Abhishek later succumbed to his injuries at the Fortis hospital,' he added.
Three men Kuldeep, Johney and Virendra have been arrested while the other two students of Lala Lajpat Rai College are at large. A case has been registered against them.
