Uttar Pradesh Police arrests four Bangladeshis for human trafficking

Lucknow, Jan 24, (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested four Bangladeshis, including a woman, for their alleged involvement in human trafficking.

 

The Local Intelligence Unit (LIU) circle officer, Rajendra Singh said that they raided Sadar locality of Saharanpur district and nabbed four Bangladeshi nationals on Friday night.

 

Saharanpur is around 400 km from Lucknow.

 

The four accused confessed that other members of the group are active in various districts of Uttar Pradesh and other neighbouring states, like, Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttarakhand.

 

Arrested accused were involved in human trafficking for the last five years.

 

Singh said that investigation is on to find out whether the arrested people have any link with the other secret outfits also. (ANI)
