Dehradun musician plays musical instrument for 60 hours, as a tribute to Mumbai victims
Dehradun, Jan 24 (ANI): A musician from Dehradun begins playing classical musical instrument 'Sitar' for 60 hours, as a tribute to the Mumbai attack victims.
Surmani Agni Verma, who dedicate his musical tribute to the victims of Mumbai attacks said his attempt is probably the first of its kind in India and that it could earn him a name in the Guinness Book of World Records.
The 'Sitar' teacher who began his musical journey for a noble cause on January 22 is expected to play the seven musical notes around 8, 64, 000 times in the sixty hours.
"I will dedicate my musical tribute to the victims of the recent Mumbai attacks. I will play continuously for 60 hours. This would be the first of its kind event in the world," said Verma.
The audience prayed that not only should the musician earn fame by making it to the Guinness Book, but also that the musical notes should send a message of peace to the entire nation.
Verma attempts to break the record that is held by one Shambhu Das of Toronto.
He would take the first break only after playing for 25 hours to break the earlier record, then he will take breaks at intervals of 12 hours. (ANI)
