As earlier this time too a TV channel telecasted the news that Chikna has been arrested in Karachi for the possession of drugs. News has not been confirmed till yet by the CBI and other agencies. According to the police, if the news of the arrest of ‘Chikna’ happens to be true it would not be of much use for India and he can’t be brought to India as India does not have an extradition treaty with Karachi.
Two days back waves of the arrest of underworld don Dawood from Pakistani media travelled to India and all over world surprising everyone. Media reports said that Dawood has been detained by ISI along with Chhota shakeel and Tiger Memon. This was also quoted that move has been taken to save the face of Musharraff rule and due to US pressure on Pak.
Pakistan rejected any such detention of him and his associates and even denied his presence in Pakistan as usual. On the other hand Indian agency RAW claims that as they keep on watching his movements he is in Karachi only.
Same has also been supported by US that Dawood an Al-Qaeda facilitator is staying in Pakistan, top-level Al-Qaeda operative (so categorised by UN Security Council).
Indian officials in view of the US pressure on Pak to hand over these criminals to US plan to grab the opportunity to put afresh pressure on Pak for the same.
This is to be known that US wants Dawood as an associate of Al-Qaeda while India wants him in Mumbai blasts cases of 1993.
