NSW Blues calls Symonds a hypocrite after McCullum signing
Sydney, Jan.23 (ANI): Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds has been labeled a hypocrite after he termed New South Wale's shock move to recruit Kiwi batting gun Brendon McCullum as un-Australian.
Symonds claimed that NSW procuring McCullum for Saturday night's KFC Twenty20 Big Bash final against Victoria - taking the spot of a homegrown player - was against the spirit of being Australian.
NSW chief executive Dave Gilbert, a former Test pacer, insisted the Blues were within their rights to sign McCullum.
Gilbert fired back at Symonds - claiming the Australian all-rounder was happy to bank 1.5 million dollars for playing for Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League."I think it's a little hypocritical of Andrew Symonds," Gilbert fumed. (ANI)
