Ian McKellen would love a X-Men spin-off about Magneto
London, July 12 (ANI): English actor Sir Ian McKellen has stated that he would love to star in a spin-off film featuring his X-Men character, Magneto.
McKellen further revealed that there is a script ready for a spin-off, however it involves a younger Magneto.
"I think it's a very good series," he told the BBC News website.
"There is a script knocking around for a spin-off, but it will be a younger Magneto, so if I were involved it would just be topping and tailing the story," he said.
The Magneto spin-off was revealed by the 69-year-old ahead of an all-night screening of the X-Men trilogy at London's BFI Imax cinema this weekend, which he is introducing.
It is being shown as part of the British Film Institute's comic book movie season, and McKellen said it was "quite exciting" for the films to be shown back-to-back in this way.
"I don't think they've ever been shown like that, one after the other," he added. (ANI)
