Missing 10-year-old boy found murdered in Ghaziabad
Ghaziabad, Jan 21 (IANS) The bruised body of a 10-year-old boy, who was allegedly kidnapped near his house last week, was found near Hindon river in Ghaziabad Wednesday, the police said.
Vikas Singh's body was spotted by some passers-by around 6.45 a.m. and they informed the police.
The body, bearing bruise marks and enclosed in a plastic container, was lying near a drain, the police said.
The boy went missing from his house at Nand Gram Saturday last week after he stepped out to play.
His father Ajeet Singh lodged a complaint with the police, suspecting his son was kidnapped.
Vikas was a student of Class 3 at a school run by his father in the Nand Gram area.
The police suspected a property dispute behind the abduction and murder.
The police have detained eight suspects, Superintendent of Police Vijay Bhushan said.
