Google Street View may become a burglars' paradise
London, July 12 (ANI): Security experts fear that internet giant Google's Street View project, a follow-up to the popular Google Earth that will let people view their home on the net closer up than ever before, may end up helping burglars in planning their next job.
The risk increases particularly because the new project would make it easy for thieves to see almost everything like cars, alarms, locks, etc on their laptops.

Ex-burglar Richard Taylor, who fronted BBC show To Catch A Thief, said that that would enable thieves to plan in advance how they should accomplish a mission.
He said that the 3G technology will even allow burglars access to Google Street View on their mobile phones, reports British tabloid The Sun. Street View also raises the risk of cars thefts, as it will show thieves where high-powered sports vehicles and other cars in demand are parked overnight, and what sorts of locks are used on gates to prevent any untoward incident.
It may even be misused by people who sell information to burglars, says Taylor. (ANI)
