Rampur (Uttar Pradesh), Jan 19 (IANS) Pakistan based terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) has issued a written threat to blow up two railway stations in Uttar Pradesh and three in Uttarakhand, officials said.

J.S. Dwivedi, the station master of Najibabad railway station, said he had received an inland letter signed by self-proclaimed JeM Karachi area commander Tasleem Mohammad Saturday afternoon. It warned that the terrorist group will blow up the railway stations in Najibabad and Rampur towns of Uttar Pradesh.

'The postal cancellation on the inland letter was barely legible but it is clear that the letter was posted from somewhere in Jammu and Kashmir,' Dwivedi told IANS.

Dwivedi added that he had passed on the letter to regional Railway Security Commissioner Vivek Sagar.

'The letter is being examined by experts. Its copies have also been forwarded to the respective home secretaries of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh,' Sagar said.
