Pathan Brothers; first to make it for T20 World Cup

Aug 08: Selection of Irfan Pathan and Yousuf Pathan in the squad for T20 world cup in South Africa has brought cheers to the family. They are the first brother to play for T20 world cup.

This was manna from heaven for the family as Irfan Pathan who was out of form has been recalled back for the country and his brother too is getting chance to add sheen to the Indian cricket team.

Yusuf Pathan is a right handed batsman, and is playing with I-club in Liverpool League. Irfan was also out of the country playing for Team–A in Kenya.

Irfan told that it was a dream come true playing with his brother Yousuf as they grew up idolizing Wough brothers. India too is getting a pair of brother after a gap of 30 years. Surinder and Mohinder Amarnath were the last pair to play for India. C.K Naidu and C.S Naidu too were siblings who played for India. Surinder Amarnath said that they can be an asset to the country as their understanding will be high on the field and they can make it big in the tournament

Baroda Cricket Association is cheering for the Pathan duo and they see Yusuf as Sandeep Patil in the making who was an off spinner and an explosive batsman.

The expectations has become double from the duo going to team up for theT20 World Cup in South Africa next month.Mehmood Khan Pathan who is the father of Pathan brothers has shown a sigh of relief as their inclusion came as a surprise.
