Shimla, Jan 18 (IANS) A cloudy sky Sunday once again dashed visitors' hopes of seeing snowfall in this popular tourist spot - and state capital -Shimla and tourist resort Manali in Himachal Pradesh.
For the past 14 days, snow in Shimla and Manali has been eluding the locals and tourists. It was Jan 4 when these tourist spots experienced the season's first snowfall.
However, popular spot Narkanda, 65 km from Shimla, and the Solan valley and Kothi near Manali experienced moderate snow in the morning.
According to the meteorological office here, the possibility of snow in the next few days is remote.
Contrary to snow, Shimla and Manali witnessed intermittent showers.
Keylong in Lahual and Spiti district and Kalpa in Kinnaur district were the coldest places in the state, with the minimum temperature at minus 5.1 degrees Celsius and minus 2.3 degrees Celsius respectively.
The minimum temperature at Shimla and Sundernagar was 7.0 degrees Celsius, at Bhuntar 5.3 degrees Celsius, at Una 8.2 degrees Celsius, and 6.7 degrees Celsius at Dharamsala.
