Dixit, Japtap in Asian Junior squash semis
Chennai, Jan 17 (IANS) India's Ravi Dixit fought back to oust the higher seeded Kamran Khan of Malaysia in four games en route to the semi-finals of the boys singles in the Asian Junior squash championship at the ICL Academy courts, here Saturday.
After dropping the first game, Dixit came back to win 5-11, 11-8, 11-6, 11-9 in a close match that lasted nearly an hour.
Joining Dixit in the semi-finals was compatriot Aditya Japtap who beat Hong Kong's Nelson Chan 11-9, 12-10, 6-11, 11-6.
Meanwhile, in the girls singles, India's top junior and second seed Dipika Pallikal looked at home while defeating Low Wee Nee of Malaysia 11-1, 11-1, 11-8 in just 19 minutes to make it to the semi-final round.
