Dual technology a new revolution in mobiles

Aug 06: In the telecommunication war, the mobile and telecom companies are trying their level best to woo the customers, which is really proving fruitful for the Indian customers as Spice telecommunication and Tata teleservices along with Samsung telecommunication have discretely launched a dual technology to make the customers more hassle free who really needs to handle the two mobile phone at a time.

Spice telecommunication has launched the combo of CDMA with GSM on the same phone while Tata Teleservices has launched the dual sim based product in the form of Samsung touch screen mobile that is the first ever touch screen mobile with dual sim kit product in the world.

Both the companies have adopted the dual technology, but there is far different in their product. Spice has targeted on the CDMA and GSM mobile subscribers while Tata Teleservices, which is primarily a CDMA based mobile manufacturing company has targeted the huge GSM customers who is more than the 2/3 of the total mobile users.

CDMA is slightly superior to GSM in downloading speed of the data that provides user a better talk because of less call drops while GSM provides a wide range of mobile phones and user doesn’t need to change the handset if he/she wants to change the service providing company. On the other hand users have to change the handset if he/she wants to change the service providing company.

Earlier Spice was a GSM based mobile company while Tata was a CDMA based mobile company. The aim of both the company is same: to attract and snatch the customers from the opposite subscribers.

Reliance communication is also planning to make such a CDMA phone that will motivate the existing GSM customer to adopt the CDMA phones.

Spice subscribers can utilize the quality of both the technology according to their preference while Tata subscribers can retain the existing number along with a new number, which user can use in the same set. Shift facility is provided for using these technologies.
