PM to inaugurate National Panchayati Raj Conference today
New Delhi, Jan 16 (ANI): Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will inaugurate the two-day National Conference of Chairpersons of District Committee's and CEO' s of Zila Parishad here today.
The conference is being organised to focus on the initiatives to empower the grass root Governance in the country.The conference will discuss the recommendations to explore the possibilities of making Panchayati Raj System an effectual tool to change the face of rural India.
Panchayati Raj Minister Manishankar Iyer has said a lot need to be done to make this third tier of governance more effective.
The Minister also explained the aims and objectives of the conference and seemed quite content while mentioning the last the implementation of recommendations made in the last national convention. (ANI)
