Mangaonkar, Pallikal to lead Indian challenge at Asian squash

Chennai, Jan 15 (IANS) Mahesh Mangaonkar, winner of the boys under-15 title at the British Open junior championship earlier this month, will spearhead India's challenge in the 14th Asian Junior Squash Championship starting here Friday.

 

Also in the squad is Dipika Pallikal, the finalist in the girls category at the British Open.

 

 

The Squash Rackets Federation of India (SRFI) has also entered other juniors to play the individual event (Jan 16-19) for exposure. The team event is scheduled from Monday.

 

 

Team:

 

 

Individual and team events: Junior Boys - Aditya Jagtap, Ravi Dixit, Karan Malik, Paramit Singh; Junior Girls - Dipika Pallikal, Anwesha Reddy, Anaka Alankamony, Saumya Karki.

 

 

Individual event: Junior Girls - Harita Omprakash, Aparajitha Balamurukan, Shria Khatri, Shaheen Madraswala, Tulika Lal; Junior Boys - Laxman Joshi, Ramit Tandon, Karm Kumar, Abhishek Pradhan, Naveen Jangra, Abhinav Shina, Gunraj Singh, Mahesh Mangaonkar.
