Suman Ranganath returns to Kannada films as item girl

Bangalore, Jan 15 (IANS) Suman Ranganath is happy with her second innings in Kannada films, which she started with the hit song 'Chitraana Chitraana' in 'Budhdhivantha' last year.

'The year 2008 has been a lucky year for me as far as my film career is concerned. The opportunity to work with a big star like Upendra in 'Budhdhivantha' was a turning point.

I played an important role in the film besides appearing in the 'Chitraana Chitraana' song, which became the most popular song of the year,' said Suman, who has worked in three films after 'Budhdhivantha'.

She featured in an item number in 'Mast Mast Majaa Maadi' and has also done a song in the film 'Anjadhiru', which is set for release.

Apart from that, she has already finished her work in 'Kalaakar' in which she has teamed up with Harish Raj.

Suman debuted in Kannada films with the award winning movie 'Santha Shishunala Shareefa' and worked with top actors like Vishnuvardhan, Ambareesh, Shankar Nag and Sridhar.

In 2008, she made a comeback after seven years with the item number in the movie 'Bindaas' that had Puneet Raj Kumar as the hero, but the turning point was definitely 'Budhdhivantha'.
