New Delhi, Wed, 14 Jan 2009 ANI

New Delhi, Jan 14 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday urged the Central Government to come clean on the Satyam scam issue and tell the people what had exactly happened.

BJP Spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy told reporters here that pointing fingers towards would not help.

"The Government has to do lot of answering today to whatever has been happening in Satyam. But still we feel instead of pointing fingers here and there, government should come back and speak out to people to what has gone wrong whether systems or institutions, which were put in place to check into such defalcation, did not work. So a candid reply from the government where the background of global meltdown, the situation which has emerged in this country, the investors need to be told what is happening," said Rudy.

It may be recalled that the Government dissolved the Satyam's board of directors and installed a new three-member board on Sunday.

On Tuesday, the government ordered the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) to probe the Satyam scandal. The SIFO will submit its report in three months.

The probe has been ordered after receiving a report from the Registrar of Companies (RoC) in Hyderabad, which inspected the books of accounts of Satyam Computer Services and eight other companies belonging to the kin of the former chairman B Ramalinga Raju. (ANI)
