New Delhi, Jan 14 (IANS) There is a mix of machismo and sensuality in the inaugural edition of the Vijay Mallya-owned Force India Formula One 2009 calendar promising an adrenaline rush.

With a combination of speed and beauty, the calendar features models Shruti Agarwal, Monikangkana Datta and Sheetal Menon sharing space with Force India Formula One drivers Adrian Sutil and Giancarlo Fisichella.

'The Force India F1 team has ensured that India is well represented at the pinnacle of motor sport in the world. The calendar captures the thrill and excitement that is integral to F1 and life around the circuit,' team owner and Kingfisher Airlines chairman Vijay Mallya said in a press statement here Wednesday.

'Our team is all set to cross new milestones and give some serious competition to the other cars on the grid this year,' he said.

Force India F1 came into being in October 2007 when Mallya, together with the Michiel Mol, established a joint-venture company called Orange India Holdings (OIH). They purchased the Spyker Formula One Team from and renamed it Force India F1.

'This calendar is an ode to the F1 enthusiast and I am sure men will love the thrill of seeing the hot divas and even hotter F1 cars month after month,' Mallya said.

Photographer Atul Kasbekar, who has shot for the calendar, said: 'I was quite excited at doing something as different as this, because I believe it is a very cool idea conceptually for a photographic image, and it worked out really well.

'What was more a matter of pride was that I was shooting the calendar for the only Indian F1 team.'
