Hapur (Uttar Pradesh), Jan 10 (IANS) An accountant, his wife and their daughter have been murdered in this Uttar Pradesh town, the police said Saturday, adding they were probing if the two women had been raped too.
The murders occurred Friday night in Ghaziabad district but came to light only Saturday when some relatives came to visit the family.
According to family sources, Bhushan Sharma, 38, an accountant with a private company at Hapur, his wife Shikha, 35, and their daughter Simran, 16, were found murdered. The mother and daughter had been stripped.
Shikha's sister Shweta said: 'We were shocked to see all three of them in a pool of blood. The heads of all three were badly smashed by bricks.'
Superintendent of Police Jagdish Sharma said the three might have been killed when they resisted a robbery attempt.
