11 killed in sectarian clashes in Pakistan

Islamabad, Jan 10 (Xinhua) At least 11 people have been killed and 30 injured in sectarian clashes in northwest Pakistan, media reported Saturday.

 

The clashes between two rival groups broke out Friday evening in Hangu district of North-West Frontier Province, private Geo TV channel said.

 

 

A jirga, or elders' meeting, has been called for a ceasefire in the region. There has been no official statement about the reason for the clashes.
