Three soldiers killed in Afghanistan

Kabul, Jan 9 (Xinhua) Three soldiers of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were killed Friday in southern Afghanistan, an official said.

 

'We offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the soldiers who died while working to bring peace and stability to Afghanistan,' said ISAF spokesman Brigadier General Richard Blanchette.

 

 

He did not give any information about the nationality of the soldiers or how they were killed.

 

 

International troops mostly from the US, Britain and Canada, have been deployed in southern Afghanistan for fighting militants and helping with reconstruction efforts.
