Captain, attacked near his unit in Jammu
Aug 03: Captain Chatanya Bhatwadekar of 113 engineers Regiment was attacked by unknown people three to four in numbers at the fringes of the city near Army premises at Kunjwani on Wednesday. Attackers also tried to chop off his tongue informed the Captain.
This is to be highlighted that Captain’s wife Captain Megha Razdan committed suicide one month ago. Her body was found hanging from the fan in her residence quarter in Jammu only.
But the attack on her husband gives the whole incident another colour. Police official suspect this attack to be a ‘created scene’ so thorough investigation is to be done. So does the army. Some along with police expressed their doubt saying that this may be an attempt by the Captain to divert the attention of the investigation agency from the case of his wife in wake of new revelations.
Police found some indications in their investigations of the suicide case of his wife which re-enforce the prospect of her murder as injuries on her body were reported by the police.
Truth will come out after the investigations only. A case has been filed by the police of Gangyal police station under section 341 and 323 of RPC. He has been operated for the cut he received on his tongue by the 166 military hospital at Satwari.
Nothing is clear in the case of her death or the attack on the Captain. Investigations are to bring the reality. Army is conducting its own investigations into both the matters.
