Lucknow, Jan 9 (IANS) A 16-year-old girl was abducted and raped by three men in western Uttar Pradesh, police said Friday.
'We today (Friday) arrested one of the accused,' police inspector Balchand told IANS on phone.
The incident took place Thursday night in Bulandshahar district, about 400 km from here.
Father of the victim Iqbal Khan said his daughter was abducted by three local young men while she was alone at her home in the Bhamra village at Bulandshaher.
She was then taken to a secluded place and gang raped, Balchand said.
'The victim has been sent for medical examination. Efforts are on to nab the other two accused in the rape case,' he said.
