UPA Government will come back to power: Kamal Nath

Tue, 01 Jan 2008 ANI

London, July 9 (ANI): Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath has said that the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government will not only survive the current political crisis, but will come back to power.

Speaking during the "Emerging India Awards 2008" here, Nath said, "He was being frequently asked now about the future of the Manmohan Singh Government in the wake of developments back home over the Indo-US nuclear deal."

"We are going to be there for many years to come," the Minister added.

The above statement came following the withdrawal of the Left parties support to the Congress-led UPA Government.

The Left had been threatening to pull out their support to the government for quite some time if the latter approached the IAEA for an India-specific safeguards agreement. (ANI)
