Agra/New Delhi, Jan 6 (ANI): Early morning walkers in Agra were greeted by a hazy view of the Taj Mahal as a thick fog engulfed the historic city on Tuesday.
At five degrees Celsius, the biting chill coupled with the fog, has made life difficult for residents.
"Today, its very cold. It was like London this morning in the fog. We could have been in London this morning. It's still nice though," said Mark , a British tourist.Save for a few brave hearts, most people preferred to stay indoors.
Meanwhile, in New Delhi, fog continues to delay both flights and trains.
An overcast sky also added to the woes of the public with no sun visible through the thick fog.
At least nine flights were cancelled and 18 delayed as the fog reduced visibility at airports in Delhi.
21 trains were running late due to the fog.
Vehicular movement in the city was slow.
According to the meteorological department, the fog is likely to play spoilsport till January 8. (ANI)
