Rawalpindi, Jan.4 (ANI): Failing to bring the real perpetrators behind Benazir Bhutto's assassination to book, an anti-terrorism court in Pakistan has now issued arrest warrants on two judicial magistrates for not appearing before it despite a summon.

Bailable warrants were issued against magistrates Ahmed Masood Janjua and Chaudhary Toufeeq Ahmed by ATC-I Judge Chaudhary Habibur Rehman, the Dawn reported.

The court has directed both magistrates to appear before it on January 17 and asked each of them to submit surety bonds worth 10,000 rupees.

Both magistrates had earlier recorded the statements of five of the accused in the Benazir assassination case and were to submit the same before the court.

Meanwhile in a separate judgement, ACT-II Judge Sakhi Muhammad Kahot adjourned the hearing till January 13 in the case of a planned suicide attack on former President General. Pervez Musharraf. In June 2008, twelve men were arrested by the police and vehicles laden with over 1000kg explosive material were seized from the densely populated area of Dhoke Kala Khan. The arrested men had later confessed to planning attacks on Musharraf. (ANI)
