London, Jan 1 (ANI): A Brit mum of four, who couldn't afford to buy Christmas gifts for her kids, won one million pounds on a Lottery scratchcard.

Maria Murray, 41, bought the 'wining' scratch card for 5 pounds from a local shop with the last change in her pocket on Christmas Eve.

"It was my last five pounds. It has not really sunk in yet that I have won. I do not know what I will do yet," the Telegraph quoted her as saying.

With the money, Murray plans to buy her three bedroom, semi-detached council house, and has begun sharing out the win with her family.

"She passed it to my Dad and he said 'you have won a million pounds'. She was really shocked. She started crying when she knew she had it," said son Todd.

Murray celebrated the win with her boyfriend, Tim Hunt, 48, a mechanic, her daughters Terri, 21, Toni, 20, Rikki, 19 and her son Todd. (ANI)
